  • Patterns of Wind

    Conceived in collaboration by renown artists Ty Defoe, Kate Freer, and Siobhan “Growing Elm” Brown, this new devised piece of theatre explores the interwoven lives and stories of eight unique characters written by the diverse actors who play them. It is a story that traces back our own histories and lineages. That reveals the costs and realities of migration. And that challenges us to defy colonialist practices and reintroduce the indigenous ways that came before them.

    Within the mystical woodlands of the Asian-inspired fantasy world of Nasiya, a storyteller and his fellow adventurers embark on their final epic journey to uncover the hidden treasures found within the Well of Memories. However, a final journey through the region means confronting long-held fears, reminiscing memorable pasts, and accepting the inevitable ends that can foster new beginnings.

    There’s only ten minutes left. Ten minutes before the flesh-hungry monsters banging at the door finally make their way in. There’s only one small window that is a means of escape. And only one of the Alvarez brothers can fit through it. There’s only ten minutes to prepare a boy into becoming a man, to find comfort amidst the cruelness of fate, to yearn for the past while not fearing the future, and to say goodbye one last time to the ones you never thought you’d have to before.

  • Make Me Proud (Short Film)

    New friends. New school. New country. This is the new life of Japanese-American volleyball prodigy Ezra Nakagawa when his father decides to relocate them to Nagoya, Japan after his late mother’s passing. Now Ezra just finds himself alone at the park, receiving serves from a concrete wall as he struggles to figure out how to grieve and how to make this place home when he just feels like a complete outsider.
